Valentine's Day: The Love-Hate Occasion
One thing that would help this celebrated ocassion be more enjoyable is if we skipped the obligation of it. Changing our perspective can make this day be what it was intended to be. I am here to help! Flowers do not always have to be these expensive, huge arrangements. If you are looking to make a "WOW" statement, then that isawesome. But don't feel like youhave to break the bank to get a Valentine's Day gift. The following tips can help you save money and still show that your Valentine is loved and thought of today and everyday.

1. Mixed Bouquets
A mixed bouquet can have several flowers in it that fill the vase or wrap using several different flowers including a few expensive flowers as focal points. Mixed bouquets are fun and pleasing to the eye. Many times I've found that women prefer a mixture of flowers over the traditional dozen red roses. And sometimes women even find the least expensive flowers as a favorite.  Here at XOXO Florals&Wine, we fill to value. Tell your florist the amount you desire to spend and the designer will create a beautiful arrangement in your budget.

2. Rose Petals and Romance

Rose Petals with a box of chocolates, bottle of wine, bath salts, candles etc. can be an extremely romantic gift. Your Valentine will appreciate this romantic gesture!. Draw a nice warm bath and place the rose petals in the tub. Set the atmosphere with lit candles, romantic music, and her favorite treat next to her.
She will love the way you pampered her and gladly return the favor, XOXO

3. Favorite Flower
A bud vase of her favorite flower along with a Homemade Valentine, is a wonderful way to show your love. A bud vase doesn't necessarily have to be the traditional candlestick bud vase with Leather Leaf, Baby's Breath and a Rose. Check out some of these bud vase ideas: https://xoxofloralsandwine.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=bud+vase.
Bud Vases fit nicely on a desk and can be eye-pleasing in the work environment. The fragrance will relieve stress during the busy day as well. Discuss with your florist the amount you're looking to spend, if her favorite flower is too high for your budget or out of season, there can be alternatives!

4. Wedding Bouquet Recreation
One of the most romantic gestures is to have your bride’s wedding bouquet recreated. Your special day is only captured by photographs, the dress is only worn once, and the Bridal Bouquet has faded.
Having your florist recreate the flowers she picked out for that special day will make her swoon! You can also have a vase arrangement created using the flowers from her bouquet. Remind her that she is forever your Valentine!

5. Flowers Delivered to The Restaurant
This will need patience and scheduling ahead of time to pull this off. Check with the restaurant manager and the florist to coordinate a plan of action. Understand this will be a busy day for them and they
may not be able to pull it off.

Sometimes, weather and so many deliveries can keep this from happening. If this is the case, picking them up is an option too. A lovely centerpiece at the restaurant you attend will be a wonderful surprise and a keepsake for her to remember that special night.
Even better, cook dinner and have a centerpiece delivered for your table at home. I know I love it that my man that cooks!!! Fresh flowers at the table will just make it even more special.

6. Skip The Vase!
Have a florist wrap up some fresh flowers for you! If your Valentine is the creative type, she may enjoy arranging them herself. If that is not her idea of a good time then ask the florist to make a hand held that she can pop in her own vase. Another alternative is to bring your own vase in for the designer to fill! Vases are expensive and donating them to florists help keep costs down for you. Check your basement and storage, you may have a container stored away and can be re-purposed this Valentine's Day!

I hope these tips have helped with ideas for you to show your love this February 14th!
Remember to keep love as your motivation!
